Privacy notice
What we store, why, and for how long.
What we collect
- Account: email, name, company, sign-in timestamps. Sign-in is by one-time emailed link; we store no password.
- Orders: product, amount, billing country, Stripe identifiers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Audit inputs: website, market, questions, competitor names, the facts you give us, priority pages.
- Audit outputs: answers returned by the engines, pages we fetched from your public website, derived findings and the report.
- Free snapshot: email, brand, website, and whether you agreed to marketing email.
- Technical logs: request logs and error reports for operating the service.
Why
To deliver what you bought, to send you the emails the service needs (receipt, intake link, progress, report), to answer support requests, to keep evidence of what the engines said so you can rely on the report, and to improve the method. Marketing email only with your consent; unsubscribe in any message.
Who else sees it
Your questions are sent to the answer engines we test (OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Anthropic, a search-results provider for Google AI Overviews) as a user would send them; they do not receive your email or account. Payments: Stripe. Email delivery: Resend. Hosting and database: our hosting provider in the EU. We do not sell data.
How long
Audit evidence and reports: 24 months, so you can compare future runs, then deleted unless you ask earlier. Account and order records: as long as accounting law requires. Snapshot leads that never buy: 12 months.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, export, and objection to marketing: email hello@getcitesense.com. You can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. If you accept the cookie banner, a first-party cookie (cs_ft, 90 days) also remembers the page and campaign that first brought you here (landing page, referring site, UTM tags and the Google Ads click id) so we can tell which channels lead to free checks; it never holds your name or email. Without your consent no such cookie is set: the free-check form only sends the address, referring site and campaign tags of the page you submit it from. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Ads sets conversion cookies so we can see which ads led to a free check or a purchase; we send Google the event, the order amount and an order number, never your email or name. If you reject, Google receives only cookieless consent signals and no advertising cookie is set. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s storage.
